FRANK services for SAMO members will end following summer

SAMO will in the future concentrate on developing better services for our members


SAMO and Frank will go seperate ways. SAMO´s council of representatives has decided to end cooperation and terminate our agreement with Oy Frank Students Ab. Decision is due to changing environment and changes in Frank service concept. Ending the agreement means that Frank services for SAMO members will end following summer. The change will affect most concretely those of you who have registered to Frank´s webservices and/or activated FrankApp/digital student card. Frank will also inform those who have registered to Frank services.

We apologize the disappointment and hardship this may cause you!

SAMO will in the future concentrate to the full in getting local membership benefits and developing better services for our members. Not to forget the trusteeship work we do for students. We will do our best to satisfy you with our benefits and services.

IN PRACTISE – WHAT WILL CHANGE THIS SUMMER?

-Data transfer from SAMO membership register to Jolla (register Frank uses) will end in the end of June 2017
-If you have registered into Frank webservices, your Frank account will be closed and your personal data saved in the Frank database will be deleted in the end of June 2017
-If you have activated the Frank App and/or digital student card, they will work until the end of July 2017
-Joining SAMO and ordering a student card will be carried out through SAMO (not Frank)

WHAT DOES NOT CHANGE?

-Your SAMO membership is valid just the way it is
-Your plastic student card is valid and usable the same way as before (check that you have a valid sticker in your card!)
-All SAMO´s local discounts and membership benefits remain just the way they are.
-Also the national student card discounts (e.g. VR, Matkahuolto and Kela lunch-support) remain unchanged
-If you have bank payment feature in your student card, it will work the same way as before
-ISIC-combination card is valid and usable the same way as before

DO YOU HAVE A VALID TERM-STICKER IN YOUR CARD?

-If you have been using only digital student card and have not collected a valid sticker in your plastic card, it is recommended to get a sticker before the digital student card is deactivated.
-Right now the valid sticker is ”LUKUVUOSI 2016-2017”, which is valid until the end of September 2017
-You can get a sticker at SAMO office (Frami F, 1st floor, Kampusranta 11, Seinäjoki)
-We are open on weekdays between 9-15 until the end of June (30.6.) with following exceptions:
Friday 16.6. closed (board summer meeting)
Friday 23.6. closed (Midsummer Eve)
-In July we are closed and serve normally again from Tuesday 1.8. on.

-If you can´t personally visit SAMO office and get the missing sticker, you can give your card to a friend who comes to get the sticker
-You can also send your card to SAMO for a sticker switch
